Santa Notebook

This is a fun easy notebook that my customers just love.   The beard, mustache, and eye brows were done with an embossing folder then white flocked.   Cutting directions will be posted soon in case you would like to make one too.   Notebooks are from staples.

Steno Book – 6x9 with white pages, and white or black cover showing at the coils on top.

Cardstock:
  •  White Daisy:  3 ½ x 6 for beard

1 ¾ circle cut in half for mustache
1 ¼ circle cut into moons for eye brows
                                    2 – 1” circles for eyes
1” border cut from AP cartridge scallop
5/8 x 12 piece scored every ¼” for pinwheel tassel
1” circle for the pinwheel to be based on
Embossing folder used to create swirls in beard, mustache, and eyebrows if desired.
  •  Cranberry:  2x6 for hat brim sponge edges with Cranberry Ink

6x6 cut diagonally for hat sponge edges with Cranberry Ink
Snowflakes:  sponge edges with Cranberry Ink
                                    Snowflake 3 pg 30 Layer at 3” and 1 ¼”
Snowflake 3 pg 30 no layer at 1” glittered later for center of large snowflake 3.
Snowflake 2 pg 27 Layer two at ¾”
Mouth – 5/8” circle or use ½ or ¾ cricut circle either will work.
  •      Black: ½ circle for eye use a white pen to make semi circle center
  •      Sky: 5/8” circle or you could use ¾ circle cricut cut
  •      Baby Pink: 1” circle mounted up
  •      Parchment:  3 ¼ x 6 face

Flock the beard, moustache, and eyebrows if desired.

After cutting and embossing all the parts assemble as follows:
Adhere the beard to the bottom of the steno pad.
Adhere the Parchment face next
Adhere the scallop White to the hat brim on right side then adhere to the top it will over lap the face piece a little.

Position all the face pieces and the hat piece that comes down the left side of the pad.
Move things around until you get the look you want.  His face will be off the right more than centered. The beard and nose will cover most of the mount piece.

Once you get everything in place adhere all the face pieces into place one at a time.
The hat will be the last piece but you can keep it in place while adhere all pieces except the left eyebrow.

Make your pinwheel by fan folding the scored 5/8 x 12 white c/s and joining the ends (you may need to cut off one ¼ on one side to make fit properly) use strong glue on this.  Then press the pinwheel into place on the 1” circle base with liquid glass or strong adhesive and push it in tight leaving the smallest hole in the center.  Once dry add a Cranberry Big brad to center hole, I just filled the hole with glue and stuck it in.

Add the snowflakes to the hat and pinwheel to hat.

This is a great gift for the teachers, a hostess for a Christmas cookie exchange, Christmas secret Santa Gift, etc.
